Ethic and Moral

Matteo said...
Human Being Traffic has a very wide variety of branches and finalities; examples of these traffics are the child traffic used for labor purposes; women traffic for prostitution; organs traffic, that i believe is one of the most serious business today, because some people are killed in order to save some others. Nevertheless the raping business. Yes I call these issues businesses, because they are nothing else but interests of someone that has a different point of view about what is ethical and what is not, in respect of the majority of the people that live in this world. But i would like to take advantage of this blog to invite you to reflect about what is ethical and what is not. As seen majors philosophers consider ethical for example a behavior that is shared, and accepted from most of the people, and this behavior turns to become a model. Raping clubs in Japan, prostitution in Italy, child traffic in India, China's organs bargains, childhood cheated out in Russia...and i could go on and on... These are examples of people behaviors, actions, restrain of freedom versus other individuals, but they are so many that make me think that they are not in such a minority as we could think, or at least as we would hope. These are just few examples, but what about those people who self prostitute on line, by phone, chats, in person... and what about the people who take vantage of these others people volitions of self selling ? People traffic, exploitation, racial segregation are everywhere, around the corner, in our backyard, in front of our eyes.. what is Guantanamo? Is it not a legalized form of torture? Is not it more dangerous than a censured one? Is not this "accepted" from the highest world's leaders? Those are the minds that give the world the example in a every day life and these are the things that maybe what we believed once was not ethical, or that was wrong is slightly changing, for some it is wrong for some others is ok, for some other is the right thing... we are becoming something different maybe, at the end are not we just processes?

Peace Nobel Prize

I strongly believe that Mr. Obama the President of the USA, is a different man from Mr. G.W. Bush.
The entire world has sensed this already, and many small and big countries have been encouraged from his attitude at the White House, in beginning a new era for diplomacy.
Still, this is not enough. The war in Iraq and Afganistan is there. Troups are still there, no due dates for withdrawing soldiers, more than that Mr. Obama did not exclude (legitim) a Military action against Iran if they keep working on nuclear...
Almost nothing has been done about the Global Warming.
The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA are still the same country of a year ago; nothing has changed, policies in Wall Street are the same; EDUCATION is more expensive today than last here( i paid 8% more, at UM 15%), so this is not and encouragement for young people.
Jobs have not been created,( i don't blame the President, this is a cause of the economic cycle); health care reform: not yet achieved. Olympic games :a complete failure. Middle East process of peace: at the same point from 100 yrs now. Cuba's matter: just an opening to negotiations; never started.
Now: Nobel Prize.
Nobel Prize is a price that people in Economy, Fisic, Medicin, Research.. gain after important achivements and after spending an entire life working for only one porpouse.
I really apologize, but i firmly not share this achivement from Mr. Obama and i reject event to congratulate him. This man doesn't need any encouragements, he needs to have the goods to be where he is, and he has them. So insted of rewarding him with not yet deserved prizes, the world should focus on make new policies.
Many men have promised the moon to their people, he might be just one of them. And in the future he will not loose his Noble Prize Title if he does not achive anything. So let's not allow to politic to destroy the fame of this Prize.
Mr. Obama is still not: Nelson Mandel; Yasser Arafat, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr, Theodore Roosevelt...
Because Mr. Obama is a very, very smart guys, I believe that even him feels a little shame of having his name close to these guys!!

L'amour...

Ethical or not?

Mr. Triff's piano example.Mr. Jones goes to Mr. Triff's house and sees a piano. The piano happens to be a Steinway of the 1850'. It is worthy on the market 30000$. But this is an information that only Mr. Jones knows. Now, it happens that the piano is the only thing that Mr. Triff owns, and is also without money.Instead Mr. Jones has plenty of money and offers only 400$ for the piano without disclosing the fact that the piano is worthy 30k.They make the deal. Now, Mrs Smart that happens to be friend with both of them walks in Mr Triff house and with surprise asks: Where is the piano? Being the only thing he owns is the only thing that she can notice; and Mr T. says: Can you immagine? I sold it for 400$$$$$. MR.Smart:But that was worty 30K???? Triff: i did not know that, it was there since my granmather passed, and nobody ever played it, and with the 400$ i bought all i needed to start my new business!!! i don't need anything else!!! It is all i wanted! (So Mr. Triff is happy and got what he wanted and needed).Mrs Smart walks now in the Mr. Jones house and sees the piano and she asks Mr Jones why he did not buy a brand new yamaha with all the effects and for the same 400$.Mr Jones goes like this: Well, you know, i just needed a piano to practise my limited skills and to fill the space in the living room, i don't even know if i am never going to use it; but it looks good and the sounds is great!(Mr Jones is happy and got what he wanted and needed). Both the Mr. Jones and Mr. Triff came to a deal that made both of them happy eventhough Mr. T did not maximize his profit which happens to be irrelevant for him, and Mr. Jones did not get the best deal because it was not in his interest. The only unhappy here is Mrs Smart that did not get anything, probably even the understanding of the matter. The fair value of X is the value that fits both needs Y and Z.Here what happens his just that Y and Z agreed about X.Bot have justified true beliefs about $400 being the fair value and also the best explanation for it. Is not it?

The 30k information is irrelevant for both..

Is Mr. Jones's behavior not ethical?
